JD was born and raised in Arkansas, having lived in Pine Bluff, Fort Smith, and Little Rock/Maumelle. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with a minor in Entrepreneurial Finance from the University of Arkansas. He is a licensed real estate agent, licensed residential builder, and remodeling contractor.

He brings over 20 years of experience in real estate investing, property management, remodeling, maintenance, and new residential construction. Before real estate, he worked in sales and manufacturing specializing in quality & systems engineeringing, earning a Six Sigma Black Belt from Whirlpool Corp.
